PixelShrink Privacy Policy
In short: PixelShrink processes the photos and requirement text you choose on your device. It has no account or advertising SDK, and it does not show ads. Optional Google Analytics measurement is off by default and starts only if you consent. Photo pixels, recognized text, filenames, file paths, exact dimensions, EXIF data, purchase tokens, and order IDs are not included in PixelShrink analytics events.
1. Who we are
PixelShrink (package com.kastovia.pixelshrink) is provided by Kastovia Holdings LLC, Georgia, city Tbilisi, Lochini 3, apt 5, 0100. Email privacy questions to contact@kastovia.com.
2. Information the app accesses
PixelShrink accesses only images, requirement screenshots, text, and output folders you deliberately select or share. It may use pixels, dimensions, file size, filename, format, and EXIF metadata to preview, resize, crop, compress, verify, save, and share the output you request.
Optional face-aware crop detects a useful crop focus; it does not identify people or retain biometric templates. Requirement Lens reads a selected screenshot or pasted text to propose dimensions, file-size limits, format, DPI, and background instructions.
3. On-device processing
Photo resizing, compression, EXIF handling, face detection, and text recognition run on the device. PixelShrink does not upload photo pixels, recognized text, face images, or generated outputs to Kastovia or Google. The app does not request broad photo-library permission.
4. Optional usage and advertising measurement
The Google Play version of PixelShrink includes Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics collection, analytics storage, advertising storage, and advertising-user-data consent are denied by default. PixelShrink asks you to choose before it enables measurement. You can change your choice later in Privacy settings. If you turn measurement off after enabling it, PixelShrink stops Analytics collection and resets the Analytics app-instance identifier and Analytics data stored by the app on your device.
If you consent, PixelShrink may send coarse app-interaction events such as export started, completed, or failed; Pro screen viewed or dismissed; checkout started; a non-sensitive billing outcome; free-limit reached; and the status of a reminder you requested. Event parameters are limited to coarse workflow, image-count, size, access-tier, offer, and outcome categories. PixelShrink does not send photo content, filenames, URIs or paths, exact image dimensions, recognized text, EXIF metadata, payment-card details, Google Play purchase tokens, or order IDs.
Google Analytics may process app and device information, approximate location derived from network information, an app-instance identifier, and—where available and permitted—device or advertising identifiers. PixelShrink uses this information for product analytics, attribution, and measuring whether app promotions lead to completed exports or purchase steps. Advertising personalization remains disabled; PixelShrink does not use Analytics to show personalized ads.
Analytics data is processed by Google under Google’s terms and privacy policy. Kastovia can view aggregated and event-level reports in Google Analytics and linked Google advertising measurement tools. See Google’s Analytics data collection information, Firebase collection controls, and Privacy Policy.
5. Google ML Kit diagnostics
Bundled Google ML Kit face-detection and text-recognition components may collect limited device and application information, a per-installation identifier, performance metrics, feature versions, event types, and error codes for diagnostics. Google states that ML Kit does not send image, video, text input, or resulting content. See Google’s ML Kit Android data disclosure and Privacy Policy.
6. Google Play purchases
Optional PixelShrink Pro access is processed by Google Play as either a Lifetime purchase or a non-renewing 7-day Pass. PixelShrink receives only the product and purchase state needed to unlock, expire, acknowledge, or restore access. Kastovia does not receive payment-card details. If you consent to optional measurement, PixelShrink may report a coarse checkout or billing outcome, but never a purchase token or order ID.
7. Local files and retention
- Outputs are new files in
Pictures/PixelShrinkor a folder you select; originals are not overwritten. - Settings, favorites, recent presets, saved workflows, and onboarding state remain in app storage until changed, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
- Temporary and batch files may remain in private storage until processing completes or Android clears them.
- Exported images remain under your control and can be deleted through your gallery or file manager.
8. Sharing and cloud folders
If you share an image to another app or choose a cloud-backed folder, Android transfers the file only at your direction. The receiving service then applies its own privacy terms.
9. Security, accounts, retention, and deletion
PixelShrink uses Android system pickers and scoped access. Kastovia does not sell personal information, and PixelShrink creates no online account or cloud profile. Analytics retention is controlled in Kastovia’s Google Analytics property. You can stop future optional Analytics collection and reset the app’s local Analytics identifier from PixelShrink Privacy settings. You may also clear PixelShrink app data in Android settings and delete exported files in your gallery or file manager. For a privacy or deletion request concerning developer-accessible Analytics data, contact contact@kastovia.com.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when features, SDKs, or legal duties change. Questions: Kastovia Holdings LLC, Georgia, city Tbilisi, Lochini 3, apt 5, 0100 · contact@kastovia.com.
